After a long wait, cars will finally come to Fortnite on August 5

The long wait for Fortnite players is almost over, as Epic has confirmed cars are being added to the game in tomorrow's update. After seeing nearly two months of the season pass, players will finally be able to tour the island on August 5.

Cars have been something of an ongoing saga in the game ever since they were first spotted in the Chapter 2 Season 3 trailer. In the background, a car could be seen driving around, doing hint at the type of content players might expect to see in the game.

With the island flooded at the start of the season, the wait began to see exactly when and how the cars would be implemented. When the water level went down, players noticed map changes such as new roads, new gas stations and just a few weeks ago everyone was expecting cars to appear in the game.

Instead, every car in the game has disappeared, and Epic has indicated that it will be another two weeks before we can drive around their hit battle royale. The best news is that this isn't a data analysis or leak, this is news straight from the official Fortnite Twitter account, which means it's all good to go, and it's definitely going to happen.

Fundamental changes to the game like this are always very exciting, and we can't wait to see what kinds of new strategies players will come up with to take advantage of the cars.
