Blue and gold XP coins are coming back to Fortnite, but no one knows when

Since the start of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3, the only XP coins available were green and purple. Eight green XP coins and four purple XP coins spawned on the map each week, giving players free, easy-to-use XP to level up their Battle Pass. Now it looks like the blue and gold XP coins are coming back.

Fortnite data miner Lucas7yoshi discovered new punch cards called 'Blue is Better' and 'Gold is Greatest' which show that we need to collect a set amount of each of the colors. At this time, we don't know when the blue and gold XP coins will return, or how much they're worth, but it'll definitely be worth keeping an eye out after the weekly reset this Thursday.

If you want help tracking them down when they arrive in-game, we have a guide showing XP coin locations each week. It may take a bit of time to update as coins tend to be well distributed each week, but we do our best to get all XP coin slots as soon as possible after each update.

There are still a lot of questions to answer, and we probably won't be able to do that until the new XP Coins appear in-game. We expect blues to appear randomly on the map like greens and purple currently do, but gold might be limited to only appearing in Fortilla, Catty Corner, and Authority chests if last season is anything to go by.
