Ah well, at least it's good news for Fortnite fans
From time to time, the developers fix the unreleased content, just to speed up the upcoming update for the players. Does Epic Games do this when they accidentally reveal item set names via game code? Hard to say, the next Fortnite update hasn't been released yet. Truth be told, there could be any number of reasons these items were titled… wait, “SHIELD?” …okay, whatever, that's pretty clear.
First noticed by virtually every reputable source of Fortnite leaks, the news started spreading in the usual way. We have social media posts, fan speculation, the works. Considering that a Disney property like "SHIELD," isn't just something you can throw at any old thing, it's hard to blame them.

And as if that weren't enough, the timing of this leak makes things much more likely. “Hawkeye,” a Marvel show with strong ties to SHIELD just hit Disney+ not too long ago. Cross-promotion is an important part of Fortnite events, so it all comes together.
Comickbook.com speculates that we'll likely see a few main character skins from the series, in addition to the set of items we already know. Kate Bishop and the eponymous "Hawkeye" are the most likely candidates here, which would make fans of the show happy.
This isn't the first time Fortnite has crossed paths with Marvel, either. Thanos, the Avengers, and more have all found their way into Fortnite's Battle Royale sandbox. If there's anything big business loves more than promotion, it's cross-promotion — so it's no surprise to see Disney coming back for more. If history is any indication, this should be a profitable venture for both parties, and we'll likely continue to see more of it in the future.
