Fortnite added a new dance emote just before Valentine's Day

How many dance emotes have they pulled from TikTok now?

Whether you know Fortnite or not, you certainly know the phrase 'Fortnite Dance.' This little dance sensation swept the country, or at least the internet streams of many, many teenagers. The default dance is actually a reference to the Scrubs show, but many dances have been added to the game since, including flossing, jazz hands, dabbing, and disco. And now the Wanna See Me emote brings smooth motion straight from TikTok for just 500 V-bucks. It's far from the first Fortnite dance to be taken from a TikTok video, but it's definitely fun to watch.

One of the secrets of Fortnite's popularity is that it keeps itself up to date, always adding new events, new skins and new emotes, including new dances. Whether it's the return of the original villain Midas, the return of the Gangnam Style dance, or even a GI Joe crossover, Fortnite does it all and does it fast. You'll never run out of things to do, even outside of the main Battle Royale gameplay. Dualshocker reports that โ€œWanna See Me emote, Fortnite's final dance, is bold proof of that. The dance is completely inspired by a TikTok video that went viral in August 2020, thanks to SadaBaby for the music and OhBvck for the dance moves.

Fortnite Chapter 2 may end soon, so this seems like a good way to send it off. On a related note, Fortnite has also been sued for taking dances without permission, although it appears all charges have been dropped for now. We'll keep you posted on any Fortnite dance-related controversy as it arises.
