The Cycle: Frontier has another closed beta early next year
The Cycle: Frontier's closed beta game test has ended, much to the dismay of its rapidly growing gaming community. The game was able to get a majority of positive feedback from its players during the weeks the beta test was live. Some veteran players have even compared it to another survival sandbox game, Escape From Tarkov.
Luckily for The Cycle: Frontier fans, developer Yager has confirmed that they will soon have another chance to relive the game. The developers have revealed that another closed beta is on the way. Fans expect the game to arrive in the first half of next year.
According to several reports, the closed beta test is expected to launch in March 2022 at the earliest. This expected time frame does of course not include any unforeseen issues and circumstances that may affect the development of the game.
The next playtest period will always be available for a selected sample. This would be to ensure that everything goes according to plan from a technical point of view. Server stability is one of the aspects of the game that is of utmost importance. Those who were able to participate in the recent closed beta test experienced multiple server outages. This would be due to a massive influx of players.
Players who wish to register for the next The Cycle: Frontier can do so now. Those who were among the most recent would automatically get invites for the next one.
Additionally, since The Cycle: Frontier is hugely influenced by Escape From Tarkov, it will most likely also feature periodic progression sweeps on a seasonal basis. Each time a wipe occurs, players will no longer own their accumulated loot. This means they will lose all currencies, resources, weapons, and other non-cosmetic gear.
These seasonal cleanups would take place every few months to ensure that all The Cycle: Frontier players will be on a level playing field.
