How to Play Scorch in Rogue Company

Scorch is a tanky assault operator in Rogue Enterprise, intended for close combat. Much like Chaac, she is not adept at nuance and strategy, but rather brute force. If she manages to fight her way into an enemy position, she's sure to wreak havoc and make for some good trades.

Overheat

Scorch's active ability, Overheat, adds a damage over time effect to his shots and melee attacks for 10 seconds. Much like Chaac's Stim Pack, this ability is all about timing. If you use Overheat and do nothing with it, you're wasting time you could have spent setting people on fire. That said, Overheat also has a cooldown, so the sooner you use it each turn, the sooner you can use it again. Do not hold back!

Scorch's passive, Fireproof, is self-explanatory: she's immune to burn damage from incendiary grenades or other Scorch players.

Loading tips

Scorch has a unique melee weapon – his Rosie prosthetic arm, which deals 45 base damage. Upgrading Tier 1 increases the range of the lunge to 3,5 meters, and Tier 2 increases swing damage to 55 and allows Rosie to set targets on fire. It's the only Rogue Enterprise melee weapon that can't be thrown – or stolen, for that matter. It is always worth improving.

Scorch's priority perks are Evasion, Stubborn, Tenacity, and Resupply, in that order. This is based on his kit and abilities, which are centered around close combat. That said, if you're using the SL-C SMG, you should upgrade it to Tier 3 first, as it gets much more efficient with upgrades.
