Lara Croft Could Be Next Seen In A Fortnite Crossover

See Lara Build, See Lara Climb, See Lara Floss

There are rumblings of a Tomb Raider/Fortnite crossover on the internet. There are two parts to this, which on their own are cryptic at best, but together could actually be onto something. The first clue fans found was through a datamine, which contained “reactivefemaletyphoon” text. This leads dataminers to suspect that new skin will be feminine and will have reactive skin, meaning it changes based on certain factors like damage taken. It can be called “typhoon” or be a password. Tomb Raider fans believe this skin will be Lara Croft and that “typhoon” refers to the events of the 2013 Tomb Raider game.

Now, this datamine theory is overblown, but last week the Tomb Raider Twitter account tweeted a cryptic message. It's one of those things where people use symbols to mimic a thought bubble and then fill it with emojis to say what they're thinking. He has a pickaxe, a running woman and a bow and arrow. Again, on your own, you might just think, “Oh. Lara Croft. Duh. Let's not forget though that the pickaxe is the handy tool of Fortnite-ers.

Aren't these two things related? Maybe, but with enough red thread pulled from a conspiracy theorist's bulletin board, you might be able to tie them together. If Lara Croft appearing in Fortnite is the real deal, you can expect a more concrete leak at some point. It's almost part of the official crossover announcement at this point. Fortnite is available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and mobile devices.
