Once you complete the main story of Destiny 2: Forsaken, you will receive two more quests. One will lead to the Ace of Spades, and the other, the Shattered Awakened Talisman , will grant access to the Dreaming City. Let's see where to find the missing talisman fragments that the spider needs to repair the broken awakened talisman.
Defeat Riven's Voice
As a member of the Destiny 2: Forsaken campaign, you will defeat the voice of Riven, and eventually complete the base story. It is now that Petra Venj will give you the "Broken Awakened Talisman", which explains that with the help of the spider, the talisman can be repaired. Once repaired, it will unlock the Dreaming City.
Repair Awakened Talisman
To repair the Awakened Talisman, the Spider asks you to collect several remaining Talisman Fragments that can be found in the Tangled Shore Lost Sectors. We have details on each of the Talisman Fragments below.
Talisman Fragments in Old Corsair's Hideout
The first Talisman Fragment can be found inside the Loot Chest in the Lost Sector of Shipyard AWO-43 in the Jetsam of Saturn area on the Tangled Shore.
Talisman Fragments at the Heart of the Cobweb
The second Talisman Fragment is located inside the Empty Reservoir Lost Sector loot chest in Thieves's Landing. This is the Paul McCartney Dance Lost Sector and it's a pretty fun place. After defeating the boss, head to the right of his throne and you'll come to the room with the treasure chest. Note that in my experience, you don't always see that you've received a talisman fragment when you open the chest. If in doubt, check the quest progress in your Pursuits screen.
Talisman fragments in rare green location
The third and final Talisman Fragment can be found in the beautiful green sector of Trapper's Cave in Four Horned Ravine.
Dream City Key
Once you return to the spider, it will repair the talisman, and it will turn into a Repaired Awakened Talisman who must now be "imbued with darkness" before he can open the door to the Dreaming City. This requires you to kill around 300 Taken, a task best done in the Sanctum of Bones Lost Sector on Io near Asher. Alternatively, you can take on the Lake of Shadows Strike on Earth, which was previously only available to PlayStation 4 owners but is now available to all Guardians. Once completed, the repaired Awakened Talisman will transform into Unbalanced Awakened Talisman.
Semi-Charged Awakened Talisman
The next step requires you to simply complete an Ether Ritual public event in the Four-Horn Gulch area of the Tangled Shore. It doesn't have to be heroic, but if you want to know how to do it, this guide will tell you.
A buzz of starlight
After the public event, the spider will give you a Balanced Awakened Talisman and tell you that you now have permission to enter the Dreaming City. You will need to meet Petra Venj at the watchtower to start the “A Hum of Starlight” mission.
Awakening
Finally, after a short time in the "A Buzz of Starlight" mission, you will immediately be moved to the "Awakening" quest step, and upon completion, you will gain access to the Dreaming City.
