Atlus is creating a game they hope will be a 'mainstay' for the studio

Atlus has a major project in the works

Atlus Product Manager Shinjiro Takada just hinted at something big to the gaming community. According to Takada, they have a major project currently underway. According to the developer, they're working on a new game that they hope will be a "mainstay" for the studio moving forward.

Although Takada didn't provide any further information on what this next title will be, he did reveal that the project will be "interesting and satisfying" for everyone.

"I chose the word 'challenge' as a keyword for 2022, with the hope that we can release a game that could potentially become a mainstay for Atlus," Takada said. โ€œThe staff are currently working hard to develop this game to be interesting and enjoyable for everyone. "

Atlus is the same studio that gave the gaming world Shin Megami Tensei 5 and Persona 5. Given the success of these games, Atlus has proven that they are, indeed, capable of catering to multiple audiences without losing sight of the appeal of the original concept. .

The Atlus development team is made up of several divisions. The department that was part of the interview was the studio's creative department. This team happens to be the one that came up with the Shin Megami Tensei and Etrian Odyssey titles. That said, some fans were hoping Takada's hint might hint at Etrian Odyssey's return. After all, the title has already been announced previously but without further updates on its development. However, it is possible that this is a completely different project.

Either way, Atlus definitely has something big planned for 2022. The studio's longtime fans are well aware of their excellent games portfolio. They have nothing to fear in this respect.
