Fortnite's Halloween update should go live tomorrow

It's about getting really scary

Halloween is only three days away, which means it's time to go all out. Epic Games are going to celebrate Halloween by adding what they call Fortnitemares (a good guy) to Chapter 2 of Fortnite. This new update to the battle royale behemoth is going to add tons of new Halloween merchandise to the Fortnite world.

Fortnite's Halloween update should go live tomorrow

The Halloween update known as Fornitemares was introduced to the game in 2017 and has become an annual tradition along with other seasonal updates. Players should expect to see cosmetic changes to the new map. Things like pumpkins, cobwebs, and other Halloween season staples are almost a guarantee at this point. There should also be new skins for players to purchase. If Epic Games sees an opportunity to push more skins onto its fanbase, then they're likely to.

Last year also followed a new NPC enemy that would follow players if you got too close to them. Fans had mixed feelings about this addition, so it's still unclear if Epic Games will do something similar. New weapons are also on the table, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

Fortnite had been on a dip in popularity for a few months this year, but managed to regain some attention after kicking off Fortnite Chapter 2 in such an amazing way. Fortnite Chapter 2 has many old fans of the series.

This new update shouldn't last very long, so be sure to live on and catch the Halloween spectacle while you still can.

Fortnite Chapter 2 is available on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PC and PS4.
