You have the option of keeping all of your Pokémon in a digital space with Pokémon HOME. You can transfer Pokémon from your Pokémon Bank, Pokémon Go, Let's Go Eevee or Let's Go Pikachu, and Pokémon Sword and Shield. In the game, you have the option to trade Pokémon with strangers, participate in the Wonder Box trading format, organize them using tags, receive more Mystery Boxes, and even to judge. More importantly, you can trade Pokemon with friends.
When you want to trade a Pokémon with a friend, you must first add it to your friends list on Pokémon HOME. You connect your Pokémon HOME to your Nintendo account, you still need it through Pokémon HOME. To do this, you must do so from the mobile application, which you can download for iOS or Android smartphones. After downloading it and following the tutorial, you are free to use the app.
On the front page of the Pokémon HOME app, you should see a friend icon with two shaking hands. Click on it and go to your friends list. You don't have anyone here right now, but you can fix it. Click the Add Friend button to go to a page where you should see your friend code which you can send to friends you want to add. You can send this code to friends or ask them to send you theirs to add to the bottom of the page. Choose to send it, enter the code, and you should be friends shortly after.
Now that you are friends, you can trade with them. Go to the trade page in the Pokémon HOME mobile app by swiping left. You should be able to trade with friends downstairs. Go to the page, choose the friend you want to trade with, and you're both good to go. Alternatively, your friend can send a trading room and make it private by telling you the room ID or sharing the room template with you. Only those with a premium Pokémon HOME subscription can create a room swap, so the Friend's Trade Zone is great if you both have free access to Pokémon HOME.
The more friends you add to your Pokémon HOME account, the more chances you have of collecting the Pokémon you've been looking to collect.
