Why aren't my Nuke Fallout 76 codes working?

The main reason Fallout 76 nuke codes don't work is because they expired. Every week you have to use new codes for missile strikes. If you have active nuclear codes and it still doesn't work, check if you made a typo. Other than that, there is no other reason why nuke codes are not working (unless the devs disable this option for some reason).

What happens when nukes are launched in Fallout 76?

As soon as you enter the Fallout 76 nuclear codes and launch a missile, a Death from Above quest will begin for all players on the map. It takes three minutes for a nuke to hit the target, so don't rush into this area sooner. Wear stealth armor, hazmat suit, or power armor to avoid radiation after the explosion. If you are shielded from radiation, you can now explore the Nuclear Zone.
