How to Throw a Curveball in Knockout City

How to Throw a Curveball in Knockout City

Knockout City is a popular virtual dodgeball game playable on Switch, PlayStation, Xbox and PC. Players compete on different maps, ranging from a large city to a small chamber. It is one of the few dodgeball games that is gaining traction due to its replayability and the fact that it allows players to use more techniques than just throwing and catching a ball.

The curve ball is one of the most popular techniques to use because it surprises many players if they expect a ball to come straight to them. When a player throws a curveball, they perform a different throwing animation where they twirl around, and the ball makes a wide sideways arc toward its intended target. This can make it difficult to catch or dodge it because it's harder to time it.

To perform Curveball, players must follow these steps:

  • Load your shot normally (default: RT on consoles, left mouse on PC).
  • When you release the trigger, press the button below depending on your platform.
    • PC: E
    • Xbox : B
    • Switch: A
    • PlayStation: Circle
  • Once you have followed the steps above, the ball will be thrown into a curve. The longer you charge the shot, the faster the bullet travels. This technique is the best and only method to use if you are trying to hit a player around the corner. One final note: you can change whether the curveball flies right or left by walking in the direction you want it to curve.

That's all we can say about it! While it can work on both advanced and new players, other players can quickly pick up on it if you use it too often in a match. Change your playstyles to keep your opponents guessing!
