The Moonfire Faire is one of Final Fantasy XIV's annual events that adds new elements, celebrates the summer months, and generally gets people in the beach spirit. Currently, the date for Moonfire Faire 2022 is unconfirmed, but we have very good estimates of when it might happen. Last year, in 2021, the event happened on August 13. Therefore, we expect the 2022 event to occur in the second or third week of August. We're estimating the date as August 16 due to patch release and update schedules.
Final Fantasy XIV Moonfire Faire 2022 Rewards
In April 2022, details of the Moonfire Faire rewards were leaked online. Final Fantasy XIV content creator LuLu posted photos of the new swimsuit along with news that Lyse's hairstyle would be available for Viera (Viera currently has very limited hairstyles).

The rewards are as expected a set of swimsuits and beachwear for warriors of light to dress up and have fun with. The full set appears to contain chest, leg, and foot piece slot elements. It is unknown if any other gear or items will be available from the event.

Additional Info about FFXIV Moonfire Faire 2022
The Moonfire Faire 2022 will also feature a questline and some returning familiar faces as usual. Events like the Moonfire Faire usually last around two to three weeks. The Moonfire Faire is also traditionally a shorter or combined event as it coincides with The Rising, another event usually scheduled for late August or early September.
As a result, the Moonfire Faire 2022 will most likely cross or overtake the release of patch 6.2. It is also possible that Moonfire Faire or The Rising will be released the day after patch 6.2. Square Enix has done this in the past, unveiling an event the day after the patch was released. This has become more common in recent patches, so it might just happen again!
