Here we will explain how the ranking system works in Teamfight Tactics and how to earn LP.

How does the Teamfight Tactics ranking system work?

The Teamfight Tactics ranking system works similarly to games such as League of Legends and Rainbow Six Siege, as players rank up through a series of tiers. However, in Teamfight Tactics, players work and rank up in nine tiers, with different sub-tiers between each rank. There are also a total of four tiers that you will need to level up to advance to the next rank.

Here are the nine ranks of Teamfight Tactics listed below.

  • The iron
  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Or
  • Platinum
  • diamond
  • mastery
  • Grandmasters
  • Challenger

That being said, to rank up, players earn points through matches, and if they earn a total of 100 LP, they will move up to the next level. You can also earn this LP by finishing in one of the top four slots in a match – plus, the higher you rank, the more LP you earn. Because of this, it's more important to survive and do well in matches so you can rank as high as possible to earn the most LP in a match.

You can also play with your friends of any rank up to gold. At this point, they will need to be the same rank as you in order to play matches with you. Check the table above people in Riot to determine which rank can play with whom.
