One of the things players can do in Outriders is crafting items that require various resources, and one of the ways to get those resources is by dismantling in-game weapons and armor.
How to disassemble weapons and armor in Outriders
In short, to disassemble both weapons and armor you will need to enter your inventory via the inventory key or button on your controller. After that, you can manually mark your items by clicking on one of them and holding down the button showing the mark at the bottom right of the items tab, as shown above.
Also, in addition to manually marking your items, you can automatically select which items to dismantle by clicking the option shown in the image below – you will also be able to mark items based on their rarity in this tab as well.

Once an item is tagged, you should see a recycle icon on it, and when you press the button in the bottom right of your screen, you'll be able to unmount that item.
After dismantling your items, you will get various items such as Iron, Scrap, and Titanium depending on the weapons and armor you dismantle. These are resources you'll need later when you start creating, so we recommend scraping anything you don't want to save for this point.
You can also sell the unwanted items through stores using a similar tagging system, but overall dismantling is your best long-term option.
