With any game launch, there are bound to be bugs and errors that occur. New World recently launched and saw a massive influx of players who revealed more error codes. One of them is the character creation disabled error. You may be wondering how to fix this error.

To fix the character creation disabled error, you will either have to try joining another server or wait until the server is not full. The error reads "Character creation temporarily disabled on this server to prevent overcrowding", which means the server is full.

Amazon Games has been adding new servers regularly to address server overcrowding and plans to implement a way to transfer your character to another server. Some servers are still experiencing overcrowding which is causing this error. Amazon said characters created before seeing the error code will not be affected and those players can still log in.

So if you see this error, just move to another server and create your character there. Unfortunately, if your friends are on another server, they won't be able to play with you until server transfer is added, which Amazon will allow for free the first time around.
