How to Pick the Locks in Lost Judgment

Lost Judgment follows private detective Takayuki Yagami as he investigates Akihiro Ehara's involvement in the appearance of a corpse. As you search for clues, you will sometimes come to places you cannot access.

To enter these areas, you may need to break in. This can be done by picking locks. Lockpicking is an art and must be done with precision. In Lost Judgement, picking a lock is done by moving pins into position. The left stick will change the pin depth while the right pick will move the pick up and down.

You must use the hook (right analog) to push the pins up until the notch on the pin is level with the shear line of the lock. The notch can sometimes be hard to see, so it's best to use the pick carefully. To do this, slightly move the right analog up gently. Once you get close to it, the top half of the pin will turn gold. When you have pushed the pin into position, there will be a sound effect and the part of the pin below the notch will drop.

Be careful not to push the pin too high or the lock will reset. Although you have to be gentle with the hook, some locks will have a time limit that will force you to move faster. Once you have successfully aligned all the pins, the lock will be picked and you can continue.
