Best Medieval Minecraft Texture Packs

Best Medieval Minecraft Texture Packs

Medieval themed texture packs are one of the most popular types of texture packs sought by Minecraft players. In our list below, we've picked out the best ones that not only make your game look better, but make you feel like you're mining in the 10th century.

Most of the more advanced Minecraft texture packs require Optifine to be installed to work. We highly recommend installing it to improve game performance and visual effects if you want to use the resource packs listed below.

All the texture packs we have listed are updated to fit Minecraft version 1.16 and above. If you want to know how to install a texture/resource pack for your game, be sure to check the list for instructions.

Best Medieval Minecraft Texture Packs

Below is a clearer description and previews of all the texture packs on our list. If there are addons associated with the resource pack, we will also mention them below.

Majestic

The most appealing thing about this texture pack is that it is well rounded in terms of art style and theme. It closely matches what you might imagine in a medieval fantasy world, with an emphasis on a more natural look. If you watch the trailer below, you'll find that it's easy to get lost in the aesthetics and really imagine yourself in a medieval setting. If you're looking for something that feels medieval rather than just medieval, Majestica is the resource pack for you.

spirit of adventure

Most medieval texture packs focus primarily on stone and wooden blocks to give a renaissance feel. What sets Wanderlust apart is how it instead modifies every type of block in the game. This texture pack lives up to its name and makes you wish you lived a thousand years ago to explore nature unsullied by human industry. Wanderlust is perfect for the Minecraft player who enjoys exploring more than building. Quite often, wandering around with this texture pack enabled will leave you feeling nostalgic for a time you never knew.

Jicklus

Jicklus is a standard (16x) resolution texture pack that enhances the simple, classic aura of Minecraft. When used with appropriate shades, the lighting brings out the perfect shades and hues of the natural blocks in this beautiful texture pack. Caves, mines, and simple houses seem to be the highlight of this texture pack. If you rarely explore outside of these areas, this one is perfect for you.

beyond the land

Beyond the Lands is a standard resolution (16x) texture pack that darkens and retextures your Minecraft world. The battles are more intense and the mobs seem more evil, but that only increases your thirst for adventure. This texture pack is ideal for adventure maps and players who like their world to feel more like the Dark Ages. Check out the trailer below! For those of you who have seen it, you will definitely see the resemblance to The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

Medieval Winthor

Winthor Medieval is the highest resolution we offer on our list (64x) and they use every pixel for incredible attention to detail. If your computer can't handle 64x resolution in Minecraft, we almost recommend you to buy a computer just to experience Minecraft with this texture pack.

If you're looking for a medieval texture pack with all the bells and whistles, you'll want to give this one a spin. All the blocks look like they were brought to you from the Middle Ages. The only problem is that you may feel warped to an alternate universe, a blocky form of the actual 10th century. When you come back and see the world around you, you might just want to get back to the game.
