One of the first quests we gave for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 is to craft a Hunter's Cloak. However, since crafting is a brand new game mechanic and the hunter's cloak is a brand new item, a lot of people don't know how to do this! Fortunately, we are here for you.
How to Craft a Hunter Cloak in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 Epic Quests
The Hunter's Cloak is easy to craft, but before you can make it, you must first find the resources. This can sometimes be a tricky task as you have to hunt animals to get meat which is one of the resources you need. Animals aren't really common either!
Resources
There are two types of resources you will need for the Hunter's Cloak. Their types and quantities are listed below.
- 1x meat
- 2 x animal bones
The Positive Side? Hunting an animal is enough to get almost everything you need. The wrong side? The animals seem to appear randomly and barely. You'll need to find an animal that drops meat, and for now that limits you to the following list: chickens, wolves, and boars. Animal bones can also be found by smashing fossilized bones protruding from the ground.
Where to find animals
Since they tend to appear randomly, it's not really easy to tell where to find the animals. However, you're much more likely to spot chickens near farms, wolves near any wooded areas, and wild boars in grassy areas.

Crafting the Hunter's Cloak
Once you find the resources you need, you can craft the Hunter's Cloak with just a few clicks. When you open your inventory, you will notice a new layout. Near the top right corner of the inventory menu is a tab that says Crafting (highlighted in red in the image above). Select the Crafting tab.
Once you're there, select the meat item that's in your inventory (highlighted in yellow in the image above). As long as you have all the necessary resources, this will give you the ability to craft the Hunter's Cloak! If you don't have all the resources you need, it will show a small red X next to the hunter's cape.
Click Craft. Your character will perform a short crafting animation, and you'll have a shiny new Hunter Cloak in your inventory!
