How to make an ax

Time required: 5 minutes.

To craft an ax in Minecraft, we'll just need to gather wood, craft boards, craft sticks, and then put it all together! We'll show you exactly how to do that in the steps below.

  • Cut down trees

Assuming we don't have an ax at this point, we're going to have to hit a tree! Climb on any old tree and start hitting the trunk. Once you hit enough, you'll get a Wood Log. Get at least three of these! How to make an ax in Minecraft

  • Make wooden planks

Open your inventory and place the wood logs in the crafting area. Each log will create four planks and we will need nine in total.

  • Make a crafting table

Take four of your blueprints and fill the crafting space in your inventory. This will give us a crafting table! How to make an ax in Minecraft
