In Minecraft you will inevitably run out of storage space for all the items you gather during your game, luckily you can solve this problem by building a few barrels.
How to Craft Barrels in Java Minecraft
To craft a barrel in Minecraft, you will need wooden planks and two wooden slabs placed in a crafting table. You'll need to fill the leftmost and rightmost slots on the way down with the six wooden planks. After the wooden planks, you will need to place the two wooden slabs at the top middle and in the lower space. If you need an example of how to arrange the pattern, check out our image below.
Before you can craft barrels in Minecraft, you'll need to gather the materials needed to craft them. Let's start with the wooden planks, as they are probably the easiest block to craft. To craft wooden planks, all you have to do is find a tree and chop it down with an axe. Then you will get wood logs, bring them back to a crafting table and place the wood logs in any slot in the table, and you will craft wood planks.
Once you get some wooden planks, place three in a row like we did in the image above, this will in turn create the wooden slabs you need for the barrel. After that, you can then craft the barrel using the template we showed earlier in this guide, so backtrack if you're ready to craft barrels in Minecraft.

How to Craft Barrels in Bedrock Minecraft
Doing barrels in the bedrock edition is pretty much the same as the Java version, except you replace the wooden planks with sticks. If you didn't already know, you can make sticks from wooden planks using the pattern below.
Once you have crafted the sticks, place them in the same location as the wooden planks as shown in the image at the start of this guide.
