Minecraft Live events are always on the minds of hardcore Minecraft fans. With back-to-back crowd votes and biome reveals, the event has become the perfect place to find out what the future of the game will look like. We've got all the details, rumors and information below regarding Minecraft Live 2022.
Minecraft Live 2022 Date
Minecraft Live 2022 will take place on October 15 at 12:00 p.m. EDT. Voting for the Minecraft Mob Vote will begin one day before October 14. You can find out how to vote in the Minecraft Mob Vote here. Minecraft Live 2021 took place on October 16, and there was a lot to reveal about the game's 1.19 update. We'll update this guide accordingly once we know more.
Details of Minecraft Live 2022
While we don't yet know what this year's Minecraft Live will entail, fans can start setting their expectations. Popular Minecraft YouTuber Xisumavoid recently suggested that Minecraft update 1.20 should be the “inventory update”. We also know that there are a bunch of features in the works that have been delayed, such as bundles, fireflies, and other mobs.
But the most important thing is the Mob Vote. Choose between the Sniffler, Rascal, and Tuff Golem. The sniffer appears to be a semi-amphibious creature that sniffs out seeds and will expand the game with more plants. The Rascal apparently lives in mine shafts and will give you enchanted items if you find it. And the Tuff Golem is a moveable item carrier.
There were also updates planned for swamp and birch forests that Minecraft has yet to deliver. We may see one or some of these features discussed during Minecraft Live 2022.

Minecraft Live 2022 leaks and rumors
In June 2022, some keen-eyed community members spotted an update to the Chinese version of the Minecraft Bedrock Edition. After being translated, they revealed a list of the text on each button in the game. Near the bottom of the list were several references to Minecraft Live, including a "Starts in...", "Ends in...", and the more interestingly, “Now is the time to add a new mob to Minecraft, and the choice is yours” button.

The implication of all of this is that Minecraft Live 2022 will somehow take place in-game in the Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Additionally, crowd voting will likely take place in the Minecraft Bedrock Edition as well. This would be a welcome change from previous votes, which took place on Twitter, making them highly susceptible to manipulation. If the information is real, all votes will need to be associated with a Minecraft account. Plus, it offers another reason why Java Edition players got Minecraft for free earlier this year.
Beyond that, the alleged leak suggests that a global recovery system is being added, along with expanded in-game editing tools. While these alleged leaks are interesting, readers should take them with a grain of salt. until the information is confirmed by Mojang.
